HOW TO KNOW YOUR SITE IS READY FOR GOOGLE ADSENSE OR NOT

Google Adsense is a great way to monetize a blog or website, but it takes a bit of work to be approved. Deciding whether or not your site is ready for Google Adsense is a big step, so it’s super important to be aware of what’s involved! We have answers for you. These five questions will help you determine your site’s readiness for the Google Adsense program.

1. IS YOUR SITE WELL DESIGNED?

We’re not talking just about the visual aspect (though that’s important too). For Google Adsense to accept your site, it has to be effectively laid out, fast loading, and professional. Remember that real people will be looking at your website when determining whether or not it is ready for Google Adsense, and you want to make a good impression! Double check that your menus link to appropriate pages, and that you have top notch SEO.

2. DO YOU HAVE NATURAL TRAFFIC?

Google penalizes sites with spam traffic in many ways, and denying them Google Adsense is one of them. To be ready for Adsense, you have to make sure your site has a lot of organic traffic. There are lots of ways to get great traffic, but one of the best ways is due to this next point: quality content.

3. DO YOU HAVE HIGH QUALITY CONTENT?

You have to create original, high quality content on a regular basis before applying for Google Adsense. Keep your audience in mind, and write what will be useful, entertaining, or moving for them. Make sure to offer value with every post you write, and on every page of your website. The last thing you want is for your market to click off your site because they are bored or confused! Though there is no official number, we recommend waiting until you have at least 15-20 great posts before applying. Once you’ve got a good amount of quality content, Adsense will be an easy next step.

4. DO YOU HAVE THE CORRECT PAGES?

To get Google Adsense, you’ll need to make sure your site has a few specific pages: About Us, Contact, and Privacy Policy. That’s pretty simple, right? Without these pages, Google likely won’t approve your site. Not sure what a privacy policy page is, or how to write one? Here’s a helpful guide that we love.

5. DO YOU USE PROPER IMAGES?

All great websites include some visuals, but it’s important to make sure that what you’re using is legal, if you want to be accepted into Adsense. There are a couple ways to get great images for your website without infringing on copyright. First off, you could photograph your own quality images. Second, search Google images or stock photo sites for images that have been released by the artist for copying, modification, and redistribution. Make sure to indicate the artist clearly if they request attribution!
